AUBURN, Maine — A 50-year-old man from Lewiston is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and threatening to kill her if she did not steal from a Walmart store in Auburn, according to local police.
Police Say Victim Was Forced Into Vehicle
The Auburn Police Department reported that Harrison Coleman, 50, assaulted his 30-year-old ex-girlfriend, forced her into his vehicle, and drove her to the Walmart Supercenter on Mount Auburn Avenue.
Investigators said Coleman allegedly instructed the woman to steal specific items and warned he would kill her if she refused.
Woman Alerted Walmart Employees
Once inside the store, the woman reportedly told Walmart employees she had been threatened. One of the employees then approached an Auburn police officer working a security detail around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Suspect Found Waiting in Vehicle
Additional officers arrived at the scene and found Coleman waiting in a parked vehicle outside the store. Police said the woman’s story was corroborated by a witness, leading to Coleman’s immediate arrest.
