Police say a guy was shot and killed at a restaurant in Gardena that was also an illegal casino.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said that the shooting happened around 8 p.m. on Saturday and involved two men who were known to be “regulars” at the Salvimex Restaurant, which is in the 14100 block of South Vermont Avenue near Rosecrans Avenue.
The two were sitting at different tables when the suspect walked up to the victim and shot her without any reason, the spokesman said.
He was hit in the chest at least once and died right there. The only information that was given was that the person who died was 35 years old.
Police say the suspect ran out of the restaurant, got in a car, and drove away in an unknown direction.
As of Sunday morning, he was still missing. There was no description given right away.
