Race Day Live As Oklahoma lawmakers return to the State Capitol on Monday, a large protest is expected to take place on the capitol steps.
Organizers say they are gathering to oppose several bills they believe are harmful to different communities in the state.
The “Rally for Your Rights” event is expected to draw hundreds, possibly thousands, of Oklahomans from different backgrounds.
More than a dozen speakers will address the crowd, sharing concerns about laws that they say target marginalized groups, including the unhoused, Indigenous communities, people of color, women, children, and survivors of violence.
Organizers stress that the protest will be peaceful and inclusive, inviting all Oklahomans who share their concerns.

Elizabeth Debo from Organizing Okies emphasized the importance of standing together, saying, “It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from in Oklahoma. If you are an Oklahoman, then we got you because we take care of our own.”
The protest is set to begin at 9 a.m. and continue until noon. It will take place just before Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt delivers his annual State of the State address at 12:45 p.m.
Organizers are encouraging residents to join the rally and make their voices heard, hoping to show lawmakers that they stand united against laws they believe create division rather than unity.
