Race Day Live , (Rhode Island) – Authorities report that a Rhode Island man is under charges after a violent video showed him pushing a woman to the ground following a Friday morning car crash.

Gladior Kwesiah, twenty-six-year-old Pawtucket resident, is accused of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (pavement) causing severe bodily injury, malicious property damage, and motor vehicle operating without license.

Attleboro Police said that officers answering many 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle incident near the intersection of Route 1 and Route 1A around 8:50 a.m. saw a little 31-year-old woman screaming, bleeding from the head, and clearly in agony.

Later on, the woman is found to be 110 lbs. and five feet tall.

The responding officer claims to have seen a considerably bigger man later identified as Kwesiah standing over the woman.

Friday night upon hospital discharge, Hailea Soares, the victim, talked with Boston 25 News.

Mom of two Soares claimed the incident started with Kwesiah harassing her in a bout of road rage along Route 1, then slamming his brakes and forcing her to strike his car.

Soares said Kwesiah threw her phone on the ground and tried to keep it from her as she stepped out of her truck. Then the video of a witness shows Soares attempting to fend off Kwesiah before he body-slams her head-first into the ground.

“When a man picks you up almost over their head and throws you to the ground, yeah, you start questioning if you’re going to wake up again after that,” Soares said. “I rolled over, and there was blood dripping onto my hands. And that’s when I realized, I couldn’t move, I couldn’t stand.”

Police Kwesiah had been removed from the victim’s car after witnesses reported him hammering on the roof. The woman supposedly yelled, “Leave me alone!” before the suspect body-slammed the victim, and the two started yelling at each other.

Soares arrived at Sturdy Memorial Hospital bearing a damaged knee, a shattered foot, a major eye socket injury, and a head injury needing eight stitches.

Kwesiah was scheduled to be arraigned at Attleboro District Court.
