SNAP CalFresh Payments for September When California Food Stamps Checks Will Arrive

2 min read

Many eligible Californians will soon receive SNAP or CalFresh payments. While some Food Stamp recipients may have gotten money on their EBT cards, others are still waiting.

California sends CalFresh from the 1st to the 10th of September, thus SNAP users have five paydays left. You can find the maximum quantities below.

CalFresh (SNAP) eligibility for September

If you don’t remember your SNAP case number, check it. Then determine whether your case number ends in 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. These will be California’s sole remaining Food Stamp payments this month.

  • If your case number ends in six, you will receive rewards on September 6th.
  • Benefits for case numbers ending in 7 are issued on the seventh of each month.
  • A case number ending in 8 indicates that benefits will be distributed on the 8th of the month.
  • If the case number ends with a 9, benefits will be accessible on the ninth of the month.
  • A case number ending in 0 means that benefits are accessible on the 10th of the month.

Those with case numbers ending in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 will receive money in October. This is because they already received their payment in September. So they can use it even if they’ve previously spent it.

SNAP (CalFresh) payment amounts

The quantity of food stamps you receive is determined on your household income and family size. CalFresh may pay you more if your home has additional members.

For example, if you are a single individual receiving SNAP benefits, you can get up to $291 in the 48 contiguous states plus the District of Columbia. As a result, this is also the maximum amount that an individual in California can get. These figures will be somewhat higher in October, following the 2025 COLA hike.
