Race Day Live (New York, NY) – On Monday morning, a snowfall is expected to make its way to New York City and the surrounding tri-state area.

The meteorologists at PIX11 predicted that snow would begin to fall in the central and southern regions of New Jersey at approximately seven in the morning, and then it would make its way to New York City by ten in the morning.

Although it is expected that the snow will cease falling in the afternoon, there is a possibility that some regions of New Jersey will continue to see flakes later on.

According to the meteorologists at PIX11, New York City, the Hudson Valley, and Long Island will experience less than an inch of snow accumulation, but the whole state of New Jersey, including the central and southern regions, might receive several inches of snow.

As a result of the snowfall that occurred on Monday, New York City was issued a winter weather alert. The roadways have been prepped with liquid brine by the Department of Sanitation; nonetheless, the Commissioner of Emergency Management for the City of New York, Zach Iscol, has stated that drivers should be prepared for a possibly chaotic nighttime commute.

Following the removal of snow from the tri-state area, temperatures that are below freezing and winds that are blustery are forecasted to continue throughout the remainder of the week. It is possible that some gusts could reach between 30 and 40 miles per hour.
