Target’s 2025 Thanksgiving Meal Deal Offers Full Feast for Less Than $5 a Person

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Target is helping families celebrate Thanksgiving without breaking the bank. The retail giant has introduced its lowest-priced holiday meal bundle ever, offering a complete Thanksgiving dinner for under $20 total — less than $5 per person.

The new Thanksgiving Meal Basket, announced on November 5, is designed to feed a family of four and includes seven essential items that cover everything from the main course to classic sides.

What’s Included in Target’s $20 Thanksgiving Meal

Target’s budget-friendly bundle features:

  • Good & Gather frozen turkey (up to 10 lbs.)
  • 5-lb. bag of Good & Gather russet potatoes
  • Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce
  • Stove Top Stuffing Mix
  • Heinz Home Style Roasted Turkey Gravy
  • Favorite Day French bread
  • Good & Gather frozen corn

Each item has been carefully selected to create a full, traditional Thanksgiving dinner that can feed an average-sized family affordably and conveniently.

Additional Holiday Deals

Target isn’t stopping at the meal basket. The retailer is also freezing its turkey prices at $0.79 per pound, the same rate as last year — despite national price hikes for poultry.

From November 16 to November 29, shoppers can also grab Good & Gather apple and pumpkin pies for just $5 each, making dessert as affordable as the meal itself.

“We know how important Thanksgiving is for families, and we’re proud to make it more accessible than ever,” a Target spokesperson said.

Competing Retailers Join the Holiday Savings Race

The holiday price wars don’t end with Target. Competing brands like Amazon and Walmart have rolled out their own low-cost Thanksgiving options.

Amazon’s Thanksgiving meal kit, available from November 12 through Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27), costs $25 and serves five people. The bundle includes an 8-lb. Butterball turkey, crescent rolls, and sides such as stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and cranberry relish, along with a choice of pecan, pumpkin, or sweet potato pie.

Meanwhile, Walmart has reintroduced its Thanksgiving Savings Basket for the third consecutive year, catering to ten people for $40. The basket includes more than 20 items, such as fresh produce (potatoes, cranberries, baby carrots), boxed sides, pie crust, and a 13.5-lb. Butterball turkey.

A Budget-Friendly Thanksgiving for Everyone

With inflation continuing to affect grocery prices, retailers are finding creative ways to help shoppers stretch their holiday budgets. Target’s under-$20 meal offer provides an opportunity for families to enjoy a full Thanksgiving feast without compromising on quality or tradition.

As shoppers prepare for the holidays, deals like these are expected to drive strong seasonal sales — and bring some much-needed relief to American households feeling the pinch of rising costs.
