Tennessee Guy Was Busted With 40 Pounds of Drugs on I-80 in Nebraska

Nebraska State Troopers discovered 40 pounds of meth during an I-80 traffic stop.

According to the NSP, they apprehended a Tennessee man after discovering 40 pounds of probable methamphetamine during a traffic stop on I-80 near Gretna.

On Friday morning, a trooper observed a Ford F-150 driving on the shoulder and failing to maintain its lane on I-80 eastbound. During the traffic stop, the trooper noticed that the motorist was impaired by narcotics.

A Ralston police department k9 then identified the odor of a controlled drug in the truck, prompting a search in which authorities discovered 40 pounds of meth. Jose Mojica Ortiz of Clarksville, Tennessee, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and he is now in the Sarpy County Jail.
