This Recipe for Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies is Simple and Tastes Great!

2 min read

Today I baked a lot of these cookies. They were really easy to make, but they looked like they came from a bakery. You can make this meal for parties or as a gift. These things are what you will need:

Recipe: Yields 24 large cookies or 48 regular-size cookies

  • 8 tablespoons of butter that has been left out to soften
  • 1 cup of shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar
  • 2/8 of a teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups of flour that rises on its own
  • 1 bowl of old-fashioned oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips that aren’t too sweet
  • 1/2 cup crushed pecans
  • Warm the oven up to 350 degrees.

Put the veggie shortening and butter in a large bowl and cream them together.

Mix it again after adding the eggs.

After that, add the dark and light brown sugar and mix until the sugar is smooth and light. Mix in the vanilla extract.

The flour should be added slowly and mixed in at low speed. Next, the chocolate chips and nuts should be added and mixed in. The flour shouldn’t get all over the kitchen, so mix it on low.

Put the cookies on a big baking sheet. On each sheet, you can make six big ones or twelve large ones. Tip: For big cookies, I use a cookie scoop and put one ball of dough on top of another ball of dough. For regular-sized cookies, I only use one cookie scoop of dough.

The big cookies should be baked for 14 to 16 minutes, and the small ones should be baked for 10 to 12 minutes. Have fun!

Keep in mind that you can use any kind of chocolate chips and nuts you like. You could add walnuts to this recipe and make it even better.

As a special treat, I like to give these cookies to my family and friends. They always enjoy them.
