Once you’ve filed your return, you can track your refund using the IRS’ “Where’s My Refund?” tool. You’ll need to enter your Social Security number or taxpayer ID, your filing status, and the expected refund amount.
Kansas taxpayers can also check the status of their state income tax refunds and homestead rebates by visiting the Kansas Department of Revenue’s website.

The deadline for filing your tax return is April 15, so filing early is the best way to avoid possible delays caused by the hiring freeze.
