Race Day Live A strong winter storm is bringing heavy snow and freezing rain to parts of Washington and Oregon, making travel difficult through Saturday afternoon.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a warning for the Northern Blue Mountains in Oregon and the Northwest Blue Mountains in Washington.

In lower areas like Meacham along Interstate 84, about 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected. Some parts of the Columbia Basin and Yakima Valley may also see light freezing rain, making roads even more slippery.
These conditions will make driving very dangerous.
Snow, ice, and strong winds could reduce visibility, cause roads to freeze, and even lead to fallen trees and power outages.
Drivers should be extra careful, slow down, and check weather updates before heading out.
