Why This NJ Dog Walker Became Every Pet Owner’s Nightmare?

I’ve always been lucky to have great neighbors. The people living up and down my street are all respectful and easy to get along with, which is something I’m sure most of us hope for in our communities.

Whether you live in a house or an apartment, it’s important to do your part to keep the peace with your neighbors.

That said, it’s not always easy. Sometimes, certain neighbors can be problematic for one reason or another.

I’m not dealing with that kind of situation now, but I’ve experienced it in the past.

When I first started living on my own, I had some pretty wild neighbors who would do things that annoyed everyone around them.

The truth is, it happens. And as we get older, we should become more aware of our surroundings and how our actions affect others.

Unfortunately, some people never seem to learn, no matter how old they get.

What’s worse is that some of these people own pets and don’t even handle the most basic responsibility of cleaning up after them.

Next-Level Laziness

It’s already annoying enough when you accidentally step into a dog mess because someone didn’t clean up after their pet. But this particular situation was beyond frustrating.

Not only did this dog owner fail to clean up after their pet, but they were in a situation where there was no excuse.

Their dog went right in the middle of an open field where people regularly walk — and they just left it there.

What makes it even more ridiculous is that this happened right next to a dog waste station. And yes, the station was fully stocked with bags. Seriously? How hard is it to grab a bag and clean up after your dog when it’s right there?

Stop Feeling Entitled

To give you an idea, the mess was left in a spot where kids often play. And it wasn’t from a small dog either — which made it even worse.

We ended up cleaning it up because we didn’t want anyone to step in it, especially kids. But honestly, should we have cleaned it up? On one hand, it was the right thing to do to keep the area clean for everyone else.

On the other hand, am I just encouraging this kind of lazy behavior from irresponsible dog owners by cleaning up after them?

A Message to the Dog Owner

Look, it’s not my job — or anyone else’s — to clean up after your pet. That’s your responsibility as a pet owner.

The fact that you left it behind — probably during off hours when fewer people were around — shows how inconsiderate and lazy you are. You knew exactly what you were doing, and that’s just cowardly.

Yes, I cleaned up after your pet, but only because I was thinking about everyone else who uses that space.

Don’t think for a second that people will continue doing this for you just because you can’t be bothered to handle your responsibilities.

And the fact that there was a dog waste station right there makes it even more unacceptable. There’s no excuse for this, and you know it.
