Philadelphia police have arrested a woman after another woman was found dead in the basement of a Germantown home last month.
Suspect Identified and Arrested
Police identified the suspect as 20-year-old Tydasza White from Philadelphia. She is accused of being involved in the death of 20-year-old Laniece Richmond on January 23, 2025.
White turned herself into the police on February 19, 2025, and is now facing charges of murder and related offenses.

The incident occurred on January 23, 2025, when police received a call about a woman screaming at a property on the 4800 block of Marion Avenue at around 1:08 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found Richmond unresponsive in the basement.

Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene
A medic at the scene pronounced Richmond dead at approximately 2:04 a.m. An investigation was launched, leading police to identify White as a suspect.
Investigation and Arrest
Following the investigation, police issued an arrest warrant for White. She later surrendered to the authorities on February 19, 2025. White is now facing serious charges related to the incident.
