A 14-year-old robbery suspect was apprehended after purportedly ramming an NYPD officer with a dirt bike during a confrontation in Brooklyn. The incident unfolded around 6:30 p.m. at West 6th Street and Neptune Avenue in Coney Island.
As law enforcement officers pursued the suspect and an accomplice fleeing the scene of a robbery, the teenager allegedly collided with an NYPD officer using his 2021 Zhejiang Koolcnchet XB87 dirt bike. The officer sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Following the collision, the suspect was ejected from the dirt bike and sustained minor injuries, necessitating medical attention at Maimonides Medical Center. Subsequently, the teenager was charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault on a police officer, assault, obstruction of governmental administration, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Meanwhile, the second suspect, dressed in all black, evaded capture by fleeing in a black two-wheeled vehicle. Additional details regarding the robbery that precipitated the altercation remain undisclosed.
