A watchdog group has found 35 “rogue election officials” from almost all battleground states who have refused to confirm election results in the past and “may be in a position to do so again.”
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) put together a report with a list of dozens of politicians and their jobs. It focuses on Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, which are the eight states where election results have not been certified since 2020.
“Emergency court orders to compel compliance with the law, criminal charges to punish and deter misconduct, and legal procedures to remove obstructionist officials from their county positions” were some of the legal solutions that CREW came up with for problems with election certification.
The project is one of many that are being done to find possible bad guys before the November election for president.
On Sunday, independent writer Justin Glawe went on “NewsNation Prime” to talk about his recent Rolling Stone story in which he revealed the names of nearly 70 officials in swing states who are denying the results of the election.
Glawe’s list included officials who had refused to approve in the past and those who had publicly said they believed in plots to steal the election.
Glawe told NewsNation, “I should point out that this isn’t coming from the Trump campaign.” “I guess you could call this a decentralized network of pro-Trump Republicans who work as election officials in their towns.”
While he wasn’t running for president in 2024, President Joe Biden talked about these worries in his first interview on television news.
In his interview with CBS, Biden said he doesn’t think there will be a peaceful handover of power in November if Trump loses again. He gave the example of what the GOP candidate is “doing with local election districts where they count the votes.”
