A guy from southern Wisconsin was recently found guilty of several crimes, including setting fires and trafficking women for sexual purposes.
A Wisconsin man, 39, who was out on bail was caught for first-degree reckless homicide.
From the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, we know that on October 28, 45-year-old Bobby McNeil from Milwaukee was found guilty of the following charges:
Trapping women for sex through fraud, force, or coercion
Setting fires to help with a federal felony
Setting fire to a building or rental property
Use of interstate transportation for prostitution
Having a gun without a permit by a felon
Officials say there was proof that between 2021 and 2022 McNeil used fraud, threats of violence, and pressure to get a woman to do sex acts for money on the south side of Milwaukee.
Someone who tried to help the woman get away from McNeal was also thrown a Molotov bomb in their home after they tried to get her from Florida back to Wisconsin for more sex acts.
Officials say the judge found McNeil guilty because the many text messages, Facebook messages, and recorded messages she sent to the victim supported what she said in court.
McNeil is set to appear in court again on February 4, 2025, to hear his sentence. He could spend anywhere from 25 years to life in jail.
