DENVER — Following a possible act of road rage, a guy from Littleton was arrested Thursday night in the Roxborough Park neighborhood.

Police from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 8300 block of North Rampart Range Road because someone had shot someone.

The sheriff’s office said that officers learned that the suspect and the victims may have been in a road rage incident that made the suspect shoot at the victim’s car.

Police arrested a 70-year-old man from Littleton who they recognized as the suspect. They found him at home.

“A dangerous situation was quickly taken care of thanks to the quick action of our deputies.” The fact that the person who fired a gun at a car during a road rage incident was caught makes our neighborhood safe. “We will not stand for such careless and dangerous driving on our roads,” said Darren Weekly, sheriff of Douglas County.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Douglas County Detention Facility. He is being charged with criminal attempted murder, felony menacing, unlawful discharge of a weapon, criminal mischief, careless endangerment, and using a weapon in a way that is not allowed.
