Race Day Live Governor Josh Shapiro is making a big move to support clean energy in Pennsylvania. He announced a $4.6 million investment to help PMF Industries, a long-standing company in the state, enter the clean hydrogen market.
This project will cost $7 million in total and create 20 new full-time jobs, retain 78 current positions, and make Pennsylvania stronger in clean energy.
PMF Industries will add a 16,000-square-foot space to its Williamsport facility.
This new area will include advanced equipment to make metallic liners that store and transport hydrogen safely. This project shows how much the Governor supports clean energy and job creation in Pennsylvania.
“Pennsylvania is the best place for businesses to grow and succeed, and my administration is focused on investing in industries that create good-paying jobs,” Governor Shapiro said.
The state’s Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) is helping make this project happen.
They gave PMF Industries a $4.5 million PIDA loan, a $138,000 Pennsylvania First grant, and $11,000 for workforce training through WEDnetPA.
