Race Day Live (Houston, TX) – Authorities are searching for a man and woman accused of shooting an 11-year-old boy during a violent home invasion in northeast Houston early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at a home on Grand Oaks near Woodforest Boulevard and Greens Bayou. According to Houston police, the pair approached the house and began firing shots from the front porch. They then moved to the back of the house, shooting into a bedroom before entering the home and continuing to fire.

Inside the house were a grandmother, mother, teenage daughter, and an 11-year-old boy. Tragically, the boy was struck by two bullets. He was rushed to a hospital and is expected to survive, police confirmed.

Houston Police Department Lieutenant Horelica stated that nothing was taken from the home, and the motive for the attack remains unclear.
