Race Day Live Amazon is expanding its presence in Florida with a major new office lease. The tech giant has signed a deal for 50,000 square feet of office space in Miami’s Wynwood Plaza neighborhood.
This is the largest office lease ever signed in the area, showing Amazon’s growing commitment to Florida.
Florida is already home to many Amazon distribution centers, with around 80 currently operating across the state. In recent years, Amazon has also been making major land purchases in Florida.
The company recently spent $66.5 million to acquire 143 acres in Fort Myers and paid nearly $394 million for a 2.8 million-square-foot robotics fulfillment center in Daytona Beach. These moves suggest Amazon sees Florida as a key region for expansion.
The new office space in Miami will be shared with other major tenants, including the Claure Group and the law firm Weitz & Luxenberg.
With Amazon employees gradually returning to physical offices in 2025, the company is securing more office locations to accommodate its workforce.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has spoken about the company’s decision to bring employees back to office spaces, emphasizing the benefits of in-person collaboration.
He explained that working together in the same space makes it easier for employees to learn, brainstorm, and stay connected to Amazon’s work culture.
Amazon’s lease in Wynwood is part of a larger trend of major companies moving into Florida. Recently, Citadel announced plans to build a $1 billion headquarters in Miami, while Corient has also secured office space in the state.
With Florida’s business-friendly environment and growing economy, more large corporations may follow Amazon’s lead in securing office space in the Sunshine State.
