WALLA WALLA, WA — The Walla Walla Valley, renowned for its rich winemaking heritage, is set to captivate wine enthusiasts with a series of events in 2025, highlighting the region’s finest vintages and celebrating its 40th anniversary as an American Viticultural Area (AVA).

Walla Walla Wine On Tour 2025

To bring the essence of Walla Walla’s vineyards to a broader audience, the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance has expanded its annual “Wine On Tour” series.

This year, the tour introduces new stops in Bellevue and Spokane, alongside returning visits to Portland and Boise. Over 60 wineries will participate, allowing attendees to sample a diverse array of wines and engage directly with the winemakers.

Tour Schedule:

Bellevue, WA: Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Meydenbauer Center from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Portland, OR: Sunday, February 23, 2025, at The Redd on Salmon from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Boise, ID: Two sessions at The Grove Hotel:
- Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
- Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Spokane, WA: Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Spokane Convention Center from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Celebrate Walla Walla Valley Wine

From June 19 to 21, 2025, the valley will commemorate the 40th anniversary of its AVA designation with “Celebrate Walla Walla Valley Wine.”

This event will focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, featuring rare vintage tastings, collaborative winemaker dinners, and comparative sessions with wines from other renowned regions.

Attendees will have the chance to delve deep into the characteristics that make Walla Walla’s Cabernet Sauvignon distinctive.

Grenache Fest 2025

For enthusiasts of the Grenache varietal, the second annual Grenache Fest is scheduled for November 7-8, 2025.

Held at the Marcus Whitman Hotel and The Motor Co. in downtown Walla Walla, the festival celebrates this earthy, fruity red wine.

Organized by winemaker Todd Alexander and his wife Carrie, the event aims to share their passion for Grenache with a broader audience.
