Actor Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone have decided to bid farewell to California after decades. The announcement came during the second season premiere of their reality show, “The Family Stallone.” Despite roots in California, the couple, married for 25 years with three daughters, felt the need for a change.
With an “empty nest” after their daughters moved out, Jennifer, 55, expressed the desire for a new chapter. Sylvester, 77, mentioned the challenge of leaving their Californian roots but ultimately agreed with Jennifer’s choice.
Their move aligns with a growing trend, as over 340,000 people left California in 2022 alone, as reported by the National Association of Realtors. Factors include a trend of more people leaving than moving in since 2016, with 58% citing family or employment reasons.

On the other hand, Florida is witnessing increased migration, becoming the top state for population increases in 2022. The Sunshine State’s population grew by 1.9%, marking the first time since 1957. In 2021, Florida had a 43% move-in rate, with many choosing to retire as the primary reason.
The Stallones’ decision to move reflects a broader shift in population changes, influenced by factors like the pandemic and state policies.
