Millions of SSI beneficiaries will get payouts on October 1st. This support, administered by the Social Security Administration, is intended for people who have serious disabilities that limit their capacity to earn a living.

SSI Payment

Individual candidates can get payments of up to $943 per month. Couples who apply together may receive up to $1,415. Additionally, ‘essential persons’—individuals who live with and assist disabled people in their daily activities—will receive up to $472.

These data have been adjusted by 3.2% for inflation compared to the prior year.

It’s worth noting that SSI is a different program from traditional Social Security. This means that receiving Social Security benefits does not guarantee eligibility for SSI, and vice versa.

Those who are already SSI recipients and want to know how much they will get can utilize a calculator offered by the Social Security Administration.
