Florida Employers Announce Fresh Round of Layoffs Before 2025

2 min read

A new round of layoffs is now set to hit Florida in 2025, as more businesses submit WARN warnings informing of future job losses.

It’s critical to realize that the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act requires a business with more than 100 full-time employees to send a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more people at a single location.

The most recent layoffs in Florida began in November and will continue through January 2025.

This year, Florida has had around 9,884 WARN layoffs across 171 businesses.

Kimball Electronics has revealed plans to lay off 250 people in Tampa, making it the largest firm layoff on this list.

Our objective is that our publications will enable families to recognize unprecedented company layoff news and prepare for the changes ahead of time.
