A Man and a 15-year-old Were Carjacked After Offering a Ride to a Stranger on Kingshighway Boulevard

ST. LOUIS — A 41-year-old man and a 15-year-old were carjacked by a man on Wednesday morning after they agreed to give him a ride. Police are investigating.

According to SLMPD, the carjacking took at around 2:30 a.m. at a petrol station on the 1400 block of N. Kingshighway Blvd in the city’s Academy/Sherman Park neighborhood.

The man and youngster were driving a 2008 Saab 9-3 Wagon when they pulled into the gas station parking lot to make a U-turn. According to reports, an unknown man approached them and asked for a ride, which they consented to.

The mysterious man then pulled out a handgun and ordered that they exit their vehicle and leave their possessions. The victims consented, and the suspect escaped in their automobile.
