Alabama Woman’s Long Journey Ends with Arrest on Multiple Outstanding Warrants

After being on the run for 18 years, an Alabama lady is now in prison.

Linda Adams Cartee, 58, was arrested on 88 outstanding warrants dating back to 2006 and 2007 for failing to appear after allegedly issuing “worthless checks.”

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Cartee, of Trinity, was arrested on the warrants Tuesday morning.

Trinity is located in the Decatur metropolitan area, approximately 40 miles from Huntsville.

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office authorities told Fox News Digital that their Fugitive Unit received a tip regarding a wanted person.

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office authorities stated that the warrants included 39 charges of issuing a worthless check and 49 counts of failing to appear for issuing a worthless check.

Cartee was arrested and brought into the Morgan County Jail, where she is jailed on a $133,900 bond.
