The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is delving into the circumstances surrounding the death of a Kiefer man, James Biesenbach, who was arrested on Monday for a murder warrant from Texas.
Biesenbach, accused of killing James Heflin in Galveston, was being held at the Creek County jail when he was discovered lifeless in his cell on Wednesday.
The Galveston Police had issued a murder warrant for Biesenbach, linking him to the tragic incident at James Heflin’s home. While in custody at Creek County jail, the unexpected turn of events prompted an official investigation by the OSBI.
The cause of Biesenbach’s death is yet to be determined, pending examination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
In an official statement, the OSBI mentioned, “We were requested by the Creek County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a death at the jail. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. Still an ongoing investigation for us.”
