Baltimore Father Receives 10-Year Sentence for Fatal Shooting of 2-Year-Old Daughter

BALTIMORE – A man from Baltimore was given 10 years in jail after admitting that he killed his 2-year-old daughter during a fight.

In December 2023, Christopher Gamble killed his two-year-old daughter with a gun while leaving an illegal, unlocked weapon nearby.

“This is a terrible case that shows how terrible it is to store guns in unsafe places and have guns illegally.” “Today’s plea and sentence are a sobering reminder of how bad illegal guns have been for our great city,” said Ivan J. Bates, the state’s attorney.

At 7:03 p.m. on December 17, 2023, Gamble dropped off Charlee Gamble, who was 2 years old and had been shot in the head.

After leaving the hospital, Gamble came back with the victim’s mother at 7:14 p.m. and then left again.

At 7:32 p.m., Gambble went back to the hospital a third time, this time in different clothes, and stayed there with cops who had been called to the hospital for a walk-in shooting.

Even though hospital workers tried to save Charlee Gamble’s life, she was pronounced dead at 8:14 p.m.

Gamble supposedly told police that on the night of the shooting, he left a gun on the TV stand. He admitted that he bought the gun illegally for $600 and said that it made him think that his daughter had shot herself.

The suspect couldn’t have a regulated gun at the time because he had been found guilty of second-degree assault in September 2021.
