Excitement filled the air as the CARS Tour drivers gathered at the New River All-American Speedway in Jacksonville, NC. Among them was the legendary Dale Earnhardt Jr, adding to the anticipation for a night of thrilling short track racing on the 0.4-mile asphalt track.
The race kicked off with Brenden Queen and Brent Crews leading the pack from the front row. As the green flag waved, Queen took the lead via the inside lane, while Crews battled to hold off Kade Brown for second place.
The action intensified as Crews maneuvered his way to challenge Queen for the lead. After several laps, Crews managed to clear Queen and seize the top spot, with Bobby McCarty closely trailing behind to claim second position.
McCarty didn’t waste any time and soon made his move, working his way past Crews to snatch the lead for himself. However, the race was far from over as the competitors continued to jostle for position.
Amidst the intense competition, Mini Tyrrell emerged as a formidable contender, eventually taking the lead from Brown. But Tyrrell’s reign at the front was short-lived, as Landon Huffman surged ahead to claim the top spot.
The race saw its first caution as the competitors reached the halfway mark, allowing them a brief respite before resuming the battle on the track.
As the green flag waved again, Tyrrell and Queen engaged in a fierce battle for the lead. Despite their best efforts, it was Queen who emerged victorious, using the outside lane to her advantage.
However, Queen’s lead was short-lived as McCarty once again made his presence known, reclaiming the top spot with a determined drive.
