Cape Coral Woman’s Decomposing Body Allegedly Partially Eaten by Starving Dogs

Race Day Live (Cape Coral, FL) – A Florida lady discovered dismembered and decomposing in her backyard appeared to have been ripped apart and partially devoured by her three starved dogs, according to her brother, who came across the horrible scene.

Alejandro Llanes discovered the remains of his 58-year-old sibling, Areles Llanes, in her Cape Coral house on Monday after not hearing from her in weeks, and initially mistook the body pieces for “a pig, like an animal,” he told WBBH.

“No legs, no arms. It was like a big bag of skin. It was like, ‘God, I can’t believe what I’m looking at and seeing,’” the grieving brother recalled.

Llanes believes his sister died of ill health, before her three dogs began “eating her.”

“What happened is she was she was not living a healthy life, like drinking a lot of wine, not eating properly,” Llanes explained.

“She probably collapsed in the backyard and after like a week, those dogs that were hungry are animals. They need to survive. They just start eating her.”

Llanes also stated that dog feces and grime coated the interior of his sister’s dismal home.

It was not immediately known when Areles died. Her brother stated that relatives had been attempting to reach her for weeks.

Police are still investigating Areles’ death, although it is not believed to be suspicious.

Meanwhile, her three dogs are being assessed by local animal control officers.
