Dallas Police Shoot Murder Suspect After Crash Kills Innocent Driver

Race Day Live (Dallas, TX) – An innocent person was slain Thursday during a Dallas police pursuit of a murder suspect that ended in a wreck and gunfire in Red Oak.

The collision occurred around 10:25 a.m. on I-35 near the Red Oak Road overpass.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Dallas police officers were chasing a murder suspect into Red Oak when he smashed into another vehicle. According to investigators, one individual in the other vehicle died and another was critically injured in the incident.

According to DPS troopers, the guy stepped out of his wrecked automobile with a gun and attempted to flee. Dallas police officers shot the suspect, according to the DPS. They gave the suspect vital care and took him to the hospital.

Police reported that no cops were wounded.

SKY 4 images showed at least two smashed SUVs on the side of the freeway, and paramedics were seen carrying many patients into ambulances.

DPS is investigating the officer-involved shooting, while the Red Oak Police Department is looking into the fatal crash. The Office of Community Police Oversight is also looking into the event.

Due to the incident and investigation, all southbound I-35 lanes were briefly closed. It’s unknown why the suspect crashed.

Investigators did not indicate whether the suspect fired his gun. His name has not been released. It is unknown whether the individual killed was the driver or a passenger.

We do not know the suspect’s or the other passenger’s circumstances. Police did not specify which murder inquiry the subject was involved in.
