Race Day Live (New York City) – While fighting a significant fire in a Bronx apartment building, firefighters stumbled upon a concealed drug lab, as reported by an FDNY source.

A concerning finding emerged from a third-floor unit at 3030 Heath Ave. in Kingsbridge, as firefighters were in the process of evacuating residents from the premises, according to a source who spoke to The Post.

The fire ignited shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

“We came across chemicals and drug-making paraphernalia and turned it over for the NYPD for handling,” they told The Post.

A total of 39 units and 168 fire and EMS personnel were dispatched to tackle the blaze that broke out on the fourth floor of the four-story structure, as reported by FDNY.
