A 45-year-old man from New Rochelle is facing serious charges after allegedly sexually molesting a woman while posing as a professional masseuse in his illegal home massage and therapy office.
Ascencion Rojas-Quinterio, the accused, has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual act and unauthorized practice of a profession, both felonies.
The arrest took place on Friday night at Rojas-Quinterio’s residence following an investigation by New Rochelle police. The suspect is believed to have operated an unlicensed massage business from his Church Street home, targeting female clients.
Authorities suspect he may have additional victims and are urging other clients to come forward if they believe they may have been subjected to inappropriate behaviour.
Rojas-Quinterio is currently held at the Westchester County Jail on a $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in New Rochelle City Court on March 22.
