Family Fears Foul Play in Disappearance of Virginia Antique Shop Owner After Months of Silence

Two sons of a man from Virginia are eager for answers after their father disappeared in April. They think that their father may have been involved in something bad.

On April 12, Kenneth “Kenny” Turner, 79, went missing. He was the owner of an antique shop in Fieldale, Virginia, and was living a quiet life.

His son Michael Turner told Fox News Digital, “I think someone picked him up and took him somewhere, but I don’t know where.” “Both of his cars and his wallet were still at home, so it looked like he was riding out and coming back home.” Since he left the porch light on.

Michael also said that his dad’s front door doesn’t close all the way unless you pull it hard. It was closed the morning he noticed his dad was gone.”He had to pull the door shut,” Michael said. “So my thing is, somebody picked him up and [did] something with him, but I don’t know what and who.”

Kenny had just been to the hospital for high blood pressure a week before he went missing, so Michael and Bryant had been checking on their dad a lot to make sure he was taking his medicine and getting better. Michael went to see his dad at home on the Wednesday before he disappeared on Saturday, and Bryant had seen his dad the Friday before.

“I don’t know what to think,” Bryant told Fox News Digital about the fact that his dad had gone missing.

The fact that Kenny’s foot was swollen the night before he disappeared made him think that he wouldn’t just leave home without telling anyone. Bryant told his dad the night before he went missing that he should take it easy and watch TV. He was going to be back in the morning to help Kenny with his Saturday morning outdoor sale at his antique shop.

Bryant said, “I locked the door and left.”

On Saturday morning, Michael and Bryant were going to help their dad set up for his yard sale. Instead, each brother drove back and forth from the antique shop to Kenny’s house for several hours, trying to find him. They thought he might have gone out to breakfast or been with the other brother, but eventually they both noticed something was wrong.

Michael pointed out that their dad not talking to them or their sister was not like him at all.

Michael said that they called the cops on Saturday around 3 or 4 p.m. to report the person missing. On that day, police searched an area about 25 miles across with both a grid search and a chopper search.

In a statement, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office said they are still looking into Kenny’s absence but have not found any clues or named any possible suspects.

“Being gone for so long and not getting in touch with my brother or me, I think he’s dead somewhere,” Michael said, adding that he thinks his father may have been killed.

Michael wants anyone who knows anything about what happened to his father to come forward. Michael said that what his family wants most now, more than six months after Kenneth went missing, is “closure.”

Anyone who knows anything about Turner’s whereabouts should call HCSO at 276-638-8751.
