Green Bay Woman Who Led a Check Fraud Enterprise Condemned to Prison, Was Charged With Over 80 Counts

Green Bay, Wisconsin – A Green Bay woman was sentenced to prison after being accused in January 2024 of check forgery.

Samantha Johnson, 36, was sentenced after being accused of 84 counts of fraud. She was reportedly sentenced to five years of initial incarceration and five years of extended monitoring.

There is an additional three years of probation following the prolonged supervision. Some of the accusations were dropped but read back in.

Johnson was suspected of running a check forgery business and had more than $33,000 in counterfeit checks recovered.
