North Texas — Tuesday was another gorgeous day in North Texas, with highs in the 70s; however, conditions will likely change overnight due to an oncoming front.
Over the next 24 hours, cooler temperatures and a northerly breeze with gusts of up to 20 mph are expected.
The next system will bring dry, colder air to the area on Wednesday. Lows are expected to be in the mid-30s and lower 40s, with highs peaking in the lower 60s. This will be DFW’s coldest maximum temperature since March.
Temperatures continue to rise as an upper-level high-pressure system prevails for the week. By Sunday, the high will be above 80 degrees, roughly 15 degrees higher than typical.
Given the lengthy outlook, families planning for Thanksgiving may wish to keep the party indoors.
The First Alert Weather Team wants to warn you about the possibility of a rainy and muggy Thanksgiving day. Make sure to check back for the most recent weather updates.
