A primary school teacher in Daejeon, South Korea, brutally killed her 7-year-old pupil, Kim Ha-neul, after luring her into a room. The tragic incident happened on Monday evening.
Authorities reported that the teacher, 48, attacked the child out of frustration. She was the last student to leave class when the teacher took her into a room and carried out the horrifying crime.
Murderer Admitted to Crime
The teacher confessed to the killing, admitting to both strangling and stabbing the young girl in a violent rage. After the attack, she attempted to harm herself, causing serious injuries to her neck and arm.
Police took her to the hospital for treatment before she was arrested.
Teacher Was ‘Annoyed’ After Returning to Work
Investigators revealed that the teacher had recently returned to work after taking a three-week break in December due to depression.
She later told police that she became “annoyed” just three days after resuming work and decided to commit the crime.
Planned Attack With a Purchased Knife
The teacher reportedly bought a knife from a local shop on the same day of the attack. She then returned to school and found Kim Ha-neul as the girl was about to leave an after-school class.
This was when she made the cruel decision to end the little girl’s life.
