A Louisiana man allegedly drove an SUV into his girlfriend during an argument, killing her, according to reports. Anthony Cooper, 31, had been dating Anastasia Rei Rayborn, 21, since she was 18 but misrepresented his age as 24.
Cooper had bought Rayborn the SUV but never let her drive it, according to Rayborn’s stepsister, Skye Guillory. The incident occurred in New Orleans, Louisiana, where police responded to a call of a residential burglary.
Officers found an SUV crashed into a building on Saint Roch Avenue. Inside the building, they found Rayborn unresponsive and pronounced her dead at the scene.
Cooper was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after detectives determined he was responsible for Rayborn’s death. Surveillance footage reportedly showed Rayborn exiting the car before Cooper drove into her.
Eyewitnesses described the horrifying scene, with muddy tyre prints leading from the street to the sidewalk and through a window. Curt McClain, a former firefighter, tried to help Rayborn but found she had no pulse and appeared to have severe injuries.
