A masseuse has been detained after being accused of sexually abusing a woman during a massage at a spa near DFW Airport, according to police and court records.
The alleged attack occurred at the SpaHere facility in Dallas-Fort Worth Airport’s Terminal C.
According to a series of TikTok videos recorded and publicly broadcast by the woman, who identified herself as Sadie Kolves of Florida, she visited the spa during a layover on August 11.
According to an arrest warrant document acquired by WFAA-TV, the massage therapist, 33-year-old Zantana Zuniga, groped Kolves in such an aggressive manner that she was unable to walk. The affidavit included photographs of injuries on her upper thigh.
The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office filed a complaint charging Zuniga with indecent assault last week.
According to the affidavit, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has conducted five investigations into Zuniga’s alleged inappropriate conduct, WFAA said.
Officials with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation verified that four of these investigations are still ongoing.
According to the department’s online databases, Zuniga’s massage therapy license is still valid, and no disciplinary action has been taken against him by the state.
An assistant manager for the SpaHere facility acknowledged that Zuniga is no longer employed by the company, but declined to further.
Attorneys for Zuniga declined to comment on Tuesday.
