Police Confiscate Airsoft Gun from Moon Area Student on School Bus

Moon Township, Pennsylvania – An airsoft gun was confiscated by police on Monday after a Moon Area pupil brought it onboard a school bus.

Moon Area Superintendent Barry Balaski informed families in a letter on Monday that school administrators and police had received reports of a safety problem’ on a middle school bus.

Police conducted an investigation and discovered that a middle school student had an airsoft gun on the bus. The airsoft gun was taken by cops.

According to Balaski, officers assessed that the incident was isolated and posed no threat to any students or schools.

Balaski stated that school authorities will seek disciplinary action against the student by the district’s code of conduct.

This incident on the school bus occurred after a high school student was discovered with a weapon at Moon Area High School earlier this month. That incident was similarly deemed isolated and posed no threat to student safety.
