Race Day Live (Long Island, NY) – Method Man, a Wu-Tang Clan musician, will not be arrested for allegedly attacking a family friend at a Staten Island gym, law enforcement officials said Friday.
According to sources, Method Man, whose real name is Clifford Smith, was the first to be hit during the fight with Patrick Sokoya, 28, at a Crunch Fitness facility.
The 53-year-old rapper from Hempstead, Long Island, has yet to file a cross-complaint against Sokoya and is unlikely to do so, according to insiders.
According to sources, Smith allegedly punched Sokoya seven times in the face during the melee. The claimed altercation stemmed from Sokoya’s relationship with the “Tical” rapper’s daughter over a decade ago.
