Texas Authorities Have Arrested Dozens of Illegal Immigrants, Including 25 Unaccompanied Minors

On Wednesday, Texas state troopers apprehended dozens of illegal immigrants near the US-Mexico border, including 25 unaccompanied children.

Lt. Chris Olivarez of the Texas Department of Public Safety said troopers apprehended 101 illegal aliens at Eagle Pass, near the border.

Olivarez stated that 29 illegal immigrants were apprehended on criminal trespass charges. More than two dozen unaccompanied minors between the ages of three and fifteen were apprehended by state troopers.

The 29 illegal immigrants apprehended were from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, El Salvador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Brazil. Olivarez said.

Each was transported to the Val Verde Center Processing Center. The family groupings and unaccompanied youngsters were forwarded to the United States Border Patrol.
