2 min read

Race Day Live Two men in Utah were arrested after they admitted to fatally shooting a teenage girl. The men claimed they believed the girl and her passenger were stalking them, according to authorities.

The incident occurred near Cedar City on a Friday night. The suspects, Michael Edward Hess-Witacki and Ethan Andrew Galloway, both 23, said they followed the 17-year-old girl’s red truck in their black Chevrolet Silverado. They then fired shots at the vehicle, causing it to crash through a fence.

Iron County Sheriff Ken Carpenter reported that the girl was hit by multiple gunshots and later died from her injuries.

Her passenger, who survived the crash, called 911 and provided details to investigators. The witness said the confrontation began earlier at a residential complex.

Deputies located the suspects’ black truck at the same residential complex. When officers approached, the four suspects attempted to flee but were quickly detained.

Hess-Witucki admitted he was the driver of the truck, while Galloway said he fired 12 shots at the girl’s vehicle.

Both suspects told investigators they believed the teens were stalking them because they had seen the red truck in their neighborhood before.

The affidavit revealed that the suspects admitted their actions caused serious injuries and death. Another suspect, Matthew D. Sorber-Petrie, confessed to handing over his gun, knowing the intent to pursue the teens.
