Agents of the Maine DEA reported observing actions at Ciprian’s apartment that fit narcotics trafficking. Several times throughout the probe, undercover operatives bought fentanyl from the suspect.
Authorities issued Ciprian an arrest warrant and a search request for his flat. Several safety issues, including the gravity of the drug trafficking allegations and the likelihood of Ciprian being armed, called in a specifically-trained tactical unit to carry out the arrest warrant.
Agents recovered roughly 80 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of ecstasy, a loaded Glock 9mm handgun, and other evidence of illegal narcotics trafficking according to the Maine DEA during their search of Ciprian’s apartment. The narcotics taken were valued by officials at $12,000.
Arriving at the Cumberland County Jail, Ciprian was assigned a bail of $10,000 cash. Authorities claimed they intend to charge Ciprian further penalties.
