Wisconsin Man Receives 12.5-Year Prison Sentence for Repeated Child Pornography Offenses

On Wednesday, US Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad for the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced that a 39-year-old Wisconsin man has been sentenced to 150 months (12.5 years) in prison for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Brandon Gerry of West Bend is a repeat offender, having previously been convicted of distributing child pornography in 2018 and serving five years in prison.

Court records reveal that in 2023, investigators discovered various online accounts used by Gerry. The accounts were in possession and were distributing CSAM across multiple platforms, including Discord and Reddit.

His accounts also included several sexualized chats about minors. At the sentencing hearing, U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman emphasized the gravity of his acts and the need to discourage others from committing similar crimes.

Gerry will also serve 10 years of supervised release and must remain registered as a sex offender under state and federal law.
