Cross-Border Drug Bust: 5 Arrested in Fentanyl Supply Chain From Georgia to NC

In a significant joint operation, the Clay County North Carolina Sheriff’s Office and Towns County Sheriff’s Office orchestrated a meticulous effort resulting in the arrest of individuals implicated in an alleged drug supply network. The focal point of this investigation was a residence situated on Byron Road in Young Harris, Georgia.

On February 7, law enforcement maintained a vigilant watch as a vehicle departed from the Georgia residence, traversing into North Carolina.

The vehicle was intercepted, leading to the apprehension of five individuals: Brianna Jean Turner (27), Sandra Gail Dragoo (68), Stacie Sabrina Graves (51), Daniel Scott Turner (27), and Tosha Savannah Eller (31), all residents of Murphy and Hayesville, NC.

During the vehicle stop, investigators discovered a silver cup in possession of Brianna Jean Turner, containing what was suspected to be Fentanyl.

A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a small plastic bag containing suspected Fentanyl. Although none claimed ownership, one individual admitted the substances originated from a Georgia residence.

All five were arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Fentanyl. A comprehensive search of the Georgia residence, owned by Gregory Thomas Breitenbach (44), revealed additional quantities of Fentanyl, leading to further charges.
