Kansas Politicians React to State of the Union Address

Politicians from Kansas responded to President Biden’s State of the Union Address.

U.S. Representative Sharice Davids emphasized the need for bipartisan cooperation, expressing support for addressing the cost of groceries and prescription drugs, defending reproductive freedoms, and protecting Social Security and Medicare.

She invited a veteran and small business owner, Brian Newton, as her guest to highlight the contributions of Kansas veterans.

On the other hand, Rep. Ron Estes criticized Biden’s claims as he highlighted concerns about the open border, inflation, high debt levels, and a perceived failure in foreign policy. Estes pledged to focus on border security, responsible spending, economic revival, and support for American jobs through sensible trade and tax policies.

Senator Doc Marshall portrayed Biden’s address as a desperate attempt to salvage a declining political future.
