In a heartbreaking incident, a newlywed groom, Daniel Palacios III, aged 27, lost his life in a car crash while travelling to his honeymoon with his bride, Christy Carrillo, aged 23. The couple had just tied the knot the previous day.

The tragic accident occurred on I-40 in Tennessee when their Toyota 4Runner veered off the road, struck a dirt embankment, flipped multiple times, and eventually collided with a semi-truck in oncoming traffic. Palacios, who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to the crash, while Carrillo sustained injuries but survived.

Daniel Palacios Jr., the father of the groom, confirmed the devastating news, expressing the family’s grief. The couple had gotten engaged in September 2023. Palacios Jr. mentioned that his daughter-in-law, although emotionally distraught, has been released from the hospital and will be okay.

A passerby, Dennis Vann, shared video footage of the aftermath, describing the wreck as severe, possibly caused by a blown-out back tyre.
