Following the races at Texas Motor Speedway, NASCAR has announced penalties for several teams and crew members. The penalties are related to safety violations and other infractions observed during the events.

NASCAR Cup Series:

  • Kyle Larson’s team, No. 5, faced penalties for the loss of an improperly installed tire/wheel during the race. Crew members Calvin Teague and Brandon Johnson are suspended for the next two events.
  • Chris Buescher’s team, No. 17, received penalties for issues related to crew protective clothing/equipment. Crew member Zachary Yager is suspended for the next event.
  • Christopher Bell’s team, No. 20, also faced penalties for crew protective clothing/equipment violations. Crew member Jacob Holmes is suspended for the next event.
  • Austin Hill’s team, No. 33, received penalties for crew protective clothing/equipment violations. Crew member Doug Warrick is suspended for the next event.

NASCAR Xfinity Series:

  • Parker Kligerman’s team, No. 48, received a penalty for improperly installed lug nuts. Crew chief Patrick Donahue was fined $5,000.
  • Brandon Jones’s team, No. 9, also faced penalties for improperly installed lug nuts. Crew chief Phillip Bell was fined $5,000, and crew member Brandon Harder is suspended for the next event.

  • Stefan Parsons’s team, No. 75, received a penalty for improperly installed lug nuts. Crew chief Chris Carrier was fined $5,000 and suspended for the next NASCAR Truck Series event.
