Las Vegas Arrests Linked to Poway Gun Store Burglary

In Las Vegas, four individuals were taken into custody on Friday on federal firearms charges in connection with a recent burglary at a gun store in Poway, as reported by authorities.

The burglary occurred in the early hours of Monday at 13550 Danielson Street, where the suspects shattered the storefront of a gun range and stole numerous firearms before fleeing the scene. Within just four minutes, they managed to steal a total of 78 firearms.

According to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the suspects used a stolen vehicle to ram into the front entrance of the Poway Weapons & Gear Range. Interestingly, the vehicle was registered in Las Vegas.

With the cooperation of law enforcement agencies in Las Vegas, officials were able to locate the vehicle at a residence later that Monday. Upon conducting a search warrant, they discovered more than 30 firearms stolen from the gun range.

A federal complaint filed on Wednesday has led to charges against Ky’von Love Bernard Payne, 18, of Boron, Nevada, for transportation of stolen firearms. Semaj’e Ridgeway, 21, of North Las Vegas, and Payne face charges related to possession of stolen firearms and firearms trafficking.

Additionally, Jahova Bell, 18, and Lanell Bellows, 19, both from Las Vegas, were charged with firearms trafficking by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Payne was reportedly found at Ridgeway’s residence in the vehicle linked to the burglary, carrying two bags. During a subsequent search, law enforcement recovered 33 of the stolen firearms.

Upon the arrests of Bell and Bellows, two more firearms stolen from the Poway gun store were found in their possession, according to officials.

Efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining stolen firearms as the investigation continues.
